NEPCA 40th Anniversary Weekend

It was a fun filled weekend at the New England Paperweight Association's 40th Anniversary weekend. Glass demos collaborations started at the Worcester Craft Center’s New Street Glass Studio with Melissa Ayotte and Tarsitano and then Clinton Smith & Chris Sherwin, followed by lamoworking demos by Melissa and Debbie rounded out the afternoon. A lovely cocktail hour and five course dinner at the historic Worcester Club concluded the evening. Each of the demo artists hosted a table and good conversations by all were had. The following day, dealers and artists had their paperweights tables ready for sale and the day consisted of a presentation, "All in the Family” with artists Melissa and Rick Ayotte, collectors John and Toby Hawley, and dealers Alan Kaplan and Susie Kaplan Jacobson discussing their families and connections to the paperweight world. The afternoon program consisted of Debbie Tarsitano presentation, “New Directions” and the Honoring Roger Jacobsen – Founding Member of NEGC.
